SORI is a New York City based creative producer and promoter specializing in Korean music and arts. SORI is committed to promoting engaging, lively and high-caliber sound of Korea to diverse audience. SORI's works include programming, producing, booking and touring as well as artist branding and marketing services.
SORI is set to make its debut showcase on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Rockwood Music Hall (stage 2) in Manhattan.
Presenting:
Black String (7pm): Korean contemporary improvisational music group led by a multi-award-winning composer and classically trained Geomungo (Korean zither) virtuoso, Yoon-Jeong Heo.
Han Chungeun Band (7:45pm): Contemporary Korean folk music through serene and soulful sound of Daekeum and Sokeum (Korean bamboo flutes), and modern instruments.
Ssing Ssing (8:30pm): Authentic Korean traditional songs, Minyo, combined with rock band music, featuring an extravagant visual style and stage presence.
